Happy Birthday, Aiden!!
You're the big 1 today! Yay! Here you were a year ago...
And here you are today!! I can't even believe you're the same tiny boy we started with. You have been the biggest blessing in our world. You bring so much joy and happiness to our life. I can't remember what life was like before I had you. You came into this world a 5 pound baby. Now you've grown into a big boy who wears a size 3 shoe and is almost in 18 months clothes. You're now taking about 10 steps at a time. You can do sign language for more. You can say "hi", "mama", "dada", "yes". You won't say anything on command, but you do say things when you want to. You LOVE music and jabber to us like there's no tomorrow...I just spend everyday soaking in all of my time with you and cherishing every moment because you are so precious to me. I couldn't ask for a more well behaved, smart boy! I love you very much. Happy 1st Birthday!

An over due update!
The past month has been a crazy one. We spent two weeks in Colorado, which was wonderful!! It was also much needed because school was really starting to get to me. I was on overload! Aiden had so much fun with the family!! He did now know a stranger the whole time we were gone, and he was so well behaved. Sometimes you feel as if you're teaching goes in one ear and right out the other, but he was a peach! And he only cried when he was tired. That was our first big trip!
Since we've been nack, things have gotten a little overwhelming. A week ago I was rear-ended by a van. Her excuse was that the sun was in her eyes. It was just me in the car on the way to school. I'm so glad Aiden wasn't in the car because she hit the car more on his side. The baby in my belly is fine, which is good to hear. I had a panic attack on Friday because I went to the Dr for my monthly check-up and the nurse practioner couldn't find the heartbeat. I was trying to act ok on the outside, but inside I was screaming. So, she sent me over to Jill who does the ultrasounds in the office and everything was fine. I got to see my baby moving it's little arms. It's heartbeat was 153 and we got an awesome picture of the baby.
This weekend we went to Cedar Point and had some good family fun. Aiden spent his whole day smiling really big and screaming and clapping and laughing. I don't think I've ever seen this kid so excited! By the way, I love that he laughs now. It's so hilarious
Pray for me as far as school is concerned. I've had a rough time with the teacher. It's very frustrating and I've done a lot of crying. I somehow need to work all of this out because I'll have the man for the next 2 months. It's really hard to not have a bad attitude. Maybe I'll write more detail about it later. I'm sure I will.
It's just s situation that needs lots of prayer.
So, there's an update for now. Trust me, a lot more could be said with a lot more detail, but that's a month worth of stuff that would go on forever. I hope all is well with all of you. Now it's time for me to catch up on my blog reads!

My Sonshine!
Here's Aiden reading a book he got from Grandma Delehoy. I know we have a genius on our hands! I also, know that every mom says that, but I really mean it :) And no, I'm not partial. I'm so thankful for this little boy. I could have the worst day in the world and when I get home or pick him up from my mom and dad's home...he makes everything better. He smiles at me so big with his two little teeth and and starts swinging his arms because he's so excited to his mama. You look at these little ones and realize that little things that we get hung up on and get bent out of shape over and worry about aren't so important.
You know what I love? In the place where I have my clinicals they interview the residents and put their little survey by the door, so you can get to know a little bit more about them on a personal level. So many of them have had such interesting lives. Some are very educated with Bachelor's degrees and some made a wonderful living from farming or having their own business. Right above their their "Words of Wisdom" they're asked what they're most proud of in life. You know what every single person has said? They've either said "My family" or "My kids". That really puts things into perspective for you. I'm finishing up school, so I can help provide a good life for us, and to give me something I can depend on if I ever have to support myself. I always read those papers though, and it reminds me to focus on what really matters. You can end up with the whole alphabet behind your name, but at the end of the day your family and the time spent with them is the most important.
