I had to put the pic up again b/c it's so cute! I love my baby!

I had a great day today. I went to see Randi and Brian and their new baby, Landon. Let me just tell you that he is the most beautiful baby! His color is great and he has the cutest features. I could tell that Randi and Brian were just so proud of him and love him so! He is the most precious baby, and he's so tiny. I just love him!
Being around Landon just made me so much more excited to see our baby. I'm getting tears in my eyes just thinking about it. It's amazing the process that God has allowed the female body to go through. It just boggles my mind when I think that I'm growing a tiny little human right now. I'm loving everything about this so far. Although, last night I was very freaked out b/c in psychology class we're starting with the development of the fetus to birth. Well, Mr. Newcomer decided to show us this video about birth. It was terrifying and very close up! So, I just put my head down and went to happy place. I know what's coming, but I'm going to enjoy being pregnant and not think about what's going to happen at the end. This leads me to a little rant I have about women out in this world. Do not scare women who have just found out they're pregnant! We know labor is coming and we know it hurts!! Keep your horror stories to yourself! I don't need to hear it....I'm not you! My experience won't be exactly like your's anyway! Every woman is different! Please, just keep it to yourself!
I think that my hormones are getting to me too. Last night I got so upset. I went to Wal-Mart to buy some groceries, and I decided to go through the self check- out b/c the person behind the booth usually comes out to help you if you're by yourself and you have a good amount of items. Well, the lady came out from behind her little booth thing, she stood about a foot away from me and just smilied. She was in my face smiling the whole time. What I would have liked was some help. Anyway, half-way through the machine goes off and tells me the belt is full and I need to bag before I can continue scanning, so I stop and bag everything with her still grinning away at me. the I finished scanning and paying and bagging and I left. I'm not really sure what that woman was doing. I woud have just appreciated some help. I was so upset by the whole thing that I put my groceries in the car and then sat in my car and cried. I was upset at her constantly grinning at me that I wanted to slap her. Normally I would have gotten so upset. I just need to take a breath a think and try to relax.
Well, I must go for now. My bed is calling me. Nighty-night!

Just a few little thoughts for the night, nothing major....

School was great today. I must say that college is good for the self-esteem, and not for the reasons you're probably thinking. I've talked to several girls in my classes and they're chocked I'm 24. They're all....wow, you look like you're my age. So, I ask them how old they are and they say 18 or 19! That makes me feel great b/c somedays I feel as if I look 34. Thank you to those girls who have said that! I feel young again! I'm pretty sure I did well onmy math test today. We were all a little upset though b/c it was completely different from what we went over in class and what we did in our homework. Oh well, I'm pretty sure I did well! It's pretty simple math so far.
Let me just tell everyone that this baby is so spoiled already. Fri. night my mom came by the mall to see the ultrasound pictures, and at the end of my shift she popped up again. What did she have with her? Presents for the baby! It's one inch long and has presents. She bought this cute little yellow bear that's so cute and a blanket that is the softest blanket I've ever felt in my life. I don't even know what the material is, but I would love to have a blanket made of it. I think it becomes more real everyday that this baby is coming. I can't wait to seee it and hold it and kiss its little face off everyday! This is a good time in our life right now. We have a lot of changes going on, but they're all great changes and I can't wait to see where this new journey takes us as a family :)

Our Little Peanut!

Jeff just thought to take a picture of the ultrasound with our digital camera, so here's our baby! I love the belly and the little legs!

We got to see our baby!

We saw our baby this morning! It is so tiny like a little peanut. And, we got to hear it's little heartbeat. I can't believe that tiny little thing in growing in my belly. Today definitely made it more real to us though. The machine measured the baby and it said that I'm 8 weeks and 6 days along (or 9 weeks), and my due date is August 26th! I'm worried about being big and pregnant all summer b/c it's only winter now and I'm hot all the time. I guess a lot of prayer will be getting me through this summer. This weekend I'll get a pic scanned so I can post one on here, and to Mom and Dad Delehoy. We'll be getting you a copy this weekend and mailing a picture out to you. It's so cute! I can't wait till you see it!
I don't have much else to say today b/c I'm still in shock a little, but I wanted to update everyone. The baby looks very healthy and the heartbeat sounds great! Have a great weekend everyone! Love you!

Our baby is on the way!

Well, this is what our baby is supposed to look like right now. I went to see Dr. Weingates this morning and the report is great! After he felt around he said that he thinks I'm about 10 weeks along, which is even more than I calculated. He said my bloodwork came back with excellent results. My blood pressure is great. My hormone count, sugar, protein, antibody, etc. is all great! That made me feel so much better. Now I don't have to worry about anything. I just need to keep eating healthy and start walking and I'll be ok. I'm definitely going to do all I can to only have healthy weight gain. My papers from the doctor said that anything you gain over 30 pounds you get to keep, so I need to be strict and healthy. I can't eat 2 double cheeseburgers and a large fry and a whole pizza like the pregnant girls I work with. I've only been hungry for healthy things. I think when you're pregnant your body lets you know what you need to be eating. I've had it easy up to this point, so I can't complain. I just know how blessed we are to be having this little one on the way and I'm so excited. I wonder everyday what kind of mother I'll be. I know I'll be oh so loving and affectionate, but I have a gut feeling I'll also be tough with my mom because there are just some things I refuse to put up with. I won't get into any detail about that, but I think it's good for kids to have definite rules and boundaries. I can't wait to see what our little one will look like! My friend Randi just had a baby and he is beautiful! He's the most precious baby and that just makes me even more excited to see our's :)
Tomorrow it's back to school for me and I'm actually excited. I never thought I would be excited about school, but I'm really enjoying it. Everything is very clear cut. You take only the courses you need and the teachers are great! They tell you everything you need to know. I think I'm just excited b/c it'll be such a good change for our life. I'm just ready to be around educated people. I think that's all to be said right there b/c if I elaborate on that then I could get myself into trouble.
I must go for now and do some reading. Hopefully on my next post I'll have a pic of our little baby! I'm so excited. I pray that everything goes well Fri and we only see good things! Talk to you all later!

My Math Homework is Done!

I just finished my math homework for the night and it was pretty simple. I'm kinda enjoying this being back to school thing. I didn't have to work today or go to school, so this is great. I went to the Dr's office this morning at 10 andI was just a little frustrated b/c I didn't get much done. The nurse asked me questions about my health, and informed me on how I should eat and exercise and how much I need to drink a day. It was really interesting. She was very helpful. Then she took 3 vials of blood out of my arm, and my arm was so sore. I won't find out till a week from today what my due date will be when I see the Dr. He'll measure my belly and stuff and help me figure it all out and then I'll get my ultrasound!! Oh, I can't wait to see those pictures. It hits me a little more everday that this is real. Today I got a sample of a Huggies newborn diaper. After I was home I took it out to look at it and it's so tiny! I started crying. Jeff and I are so blessed to be experiencing this. There's a little baby in my belly! Although I can't feel it yet, I know it's there when I get a bellyache. I've actually felt pretty good so far. I'm tired, which is normal, and I have a small bellyache all day, but if I eat every couple of hours and drink a lot of water then I feel ok. I've been lucky so far. I just can't wait to find out when I'm having this little one! I can't wait to find out what it is! I'm just so excited! I just need to head on out for now, so I can make a little bit of macaroni and cheese and fix up some fruit for me to eat. I hope everyone had a wonderful day! Love you guys!

Jeff and Cara had the best week ever...

Well, I guess I will start with the current time and work backwards as far as my little update here goes. A week ago on Jan. 1st Jeff and I had the best New Year ever! I had been feeling a little sick everyday and I was extremely tired, but I thought it was all in my head. So, on the 1st I took 2 pregnancy tests and they came back positive. I was still skeptical b/c I was in so much shock! I was definitely suprised to see that result. I called the Dr's office and talked with the nurse and told her what was going on and she was cheering and excited and she told me that they wouldn't retest again b/c if I took 2 tests at night and they came up positive so fast that I'm definitely pregnant. On Tues I go in to do all of the medical history stuff and the exam and we'll figure out a due date. We told all of our families today and I think all of the women cried, but everyone is excited and I'm more excited now too now that the word is out. My heart is so thrilled. I've thanked God everyday, all day. I just can't believe we've been so fortunate and so blessed. I start college tomorrow and I"m nervous so pray for me, but I've decided to go in and talk to my advisor sometime soon b/c he said someof my classes will be ok to take online. I want to try to take one this summer, and then I'll only take web classes this fall so I don't fall behind at all, and I want to be home with the baby! In the Spring I'll go back and I'll schedule my classes in the evening when my mom can watch the baby and the school has a childcare center I can take the baby too when I have clinicals, but I'll only have those once or twice a week. Ok, I'm rambling. My mind is just going like crazy! All I do is sit and think. I'm just so tickled!
Now let me go back. Christmas was wonderful! I had so much fun with Jeff's family here! I just love them! We went to Amish country and to the Pro Football Hall of Fame. We went shopping in Toledo one day. We wanted to go see the lights at the zoo b/c they have a million lights, but it was raining. The Chrismas presents were great this year. The best one was all of our family being here. Jeff's sisters got me this great gold purse that I absolutely love! It makes me feel famous and I get compliments on it everywhere I go. Jeff ordered me a necklace and earrings from India and they are beautiful! I also got Billy Blanks' Boot Camp (good for post-pregnancy) and the last season of Newlyweds on DVD. My mom got me a sharp floor clock that I've been wanting. I must say that the their visit went by way too fast. I was so sad the next morning when the house was all quiet and Isabel wasn't there to give me my morning hug. I hope they enjoyed themselves as much as we loved having them here.
I was going to write more, but I get more tired as the minutes go by so I think I'll get my bag ready for school tomorrow then hit the hay. Have a good night everyone! Sleep well! I send my love to you all!
